TinyPuzzle continues Topologika's popular Freddy Teddy suite of infant programs. Originally designed by advisory staff at the Northamptonshire Computer Education Centre, TinyPuzzle is a memory game designed around jig-saw type puzzle pictures. The computer scrambles the picture. The child's job is to put it together again, by clicking on any two pieces, then on the 'swap' icon. Rows, columns and various sized square and rectangular grids can be used, tailoring puzzles to the ability of the user, and enabling the creation of many different puzzles from each picture. The grid can be hidden or shown and there's a 'peep' facility allowing children to have a quick look at the completed picture. Pictures can be printed out while the puzzle is still scrambled (allowing the creation of paper puzzles) or when its complete, as a record of work done. Pictures supplied include: Fairground, Farm, Party, Fruiterer, Garden, Hospital, Kitchen, Sea-bed, Space. Pictures created with TinyDraw can also be used.
