This is a second hand Hewlett Packard Jetdirect 400N EIO model J4100A internal Print Server that you plug into the back of your HP printer and then connect it directly to your local area network.

n.b. The interface is not actually marked J4100A as it was factory fitted in an HP 4M. The J4100A is part number used when it was sold as an upgrade.
