- Description:
BBC microcomputer Model A or B Keyboard Keyswitch, second hand but tested. Please state which keyboard switch type you require as we have identified five different key switches in use:
Type A: A tall vertical '+' shaped post on a rectangular base. The main body of the switch is circular. (Futaba "tall ML" / ML-41 series)
Type B: Has a slightly sloping, almost '+' shaped, post (the top of the '+' tapers to a 'T'), most likely a SMK J-M0432
Type C: A '+' shaped post on a circular base (SMK J-M0404 series) - NO CURRENT STOCK
Type D: An open square-shaped post.
Type E: Has a vertical '+' shaped post on a roughly T-shaped base. The key switch used on most (all?) BBC Master and Electron keyboards. (ML-3-CM or ML88 series)
Type F: For the membrane keyboard, requires removal of two plastic posts to extract the switch. Very unlikely to be this keyswitch failing that causes a problem, more likely to be the membrane beneath that fails. Listed in case of mechanical damage. (Cherry MY1A-21NC)
