A Label Printing Program

LabPrint is a label printing program with extensive facilities to design labels to suit any available laser or ink-jet label sheets, and is supplied with over 20 pre-defined label sheets from the Avery range.

Printing labels with LabPrint is simplicity itself. Select Print from the iconbar menu to display the Print window shown below.



The label style required may then be selected from the menu provided, offering over 20 pre-defined Avery label styles.

Then select the number of copies required of each label, and the label on the sheet to start printing at - no more wasted half used sheets! Then just drag a CSV file from a filer window, another application, or from !Edit, etc, and printing will begin.

Suitable CSV data may be obtained from a spread-sheet, database, etc. Or a directory of suitable files may be compiled from any source, or hand crafted in an editor, and the file dragged to LabPrint as reqyured.

You may of course design your own labels and sheet layouts, or modify those provided. This is done by selecting Design from the iconbar menu to display the design window.



This window provides all the flexibility required to choose the label size, and the positioning and appearance of the text. The effect of changing any setting is instantly visible on the example label, to show you exactly what the final result will look like when printed.

As you can see, this includes the choice and size of font, left, centre or right hand justification, print margins within the label, etc.

Clicking on the Sheet button near the lower edge gives access to the label sheet design window, as shown below.



As you can see, this allows the actual sheet layout to be defined. In addition to the choice of rows and columns, the pitch or spacing, and the offset from the sheet edge can all be specified.

Again, all changes made are immediately reflected in the sheet display. In addition, the program will check your layout for errors, such as overlapping labels, and show this in the message window. The current printer's print margins may also be shown on the display, to check that everything will be printed correctly.


LabPrint should be a permanent desktop facility on every computer!
